The Non-Linear Lab (Cohort 2)

  • 10 left
  • Starts Nov 2

When building a life with several serious interests, it's easy to end up frustrated & exhausted. This 4-week, small-group coaching cohort (up to 10 people) takes you from overwhelmed to intentional. Leave with a six-month plan, life mapping, & validated baseline (plus well-supported & confident in your multipotential abilities). Includes 4 group calls, 2x 1:1s, email support, community access.

Enrolment into the Non-Linear Lab starts at €1,500.

If you've never been able to answer "so what do you do?" in one sentence, you're in the right place.

A non-linear life means building meaning across several serious pursuits at once, not through a single career or identity, and not as an unhappy compromise. But it's easy for a life like that to feel scattered, behind, or overwhelming.

The Non-Linear Lab is designed to fix that.

You'll join a hand-picked cohort of up to 10 people for four live group calls, and 1:1 deep coaching with me. You'll leave with a written plan for the year, and a strategy for a non-linear life that is more than the sum of its parts.

You'll leave The Non-Linear Lab feeling...

More focused

Choosing on purpose, instead of drifting between endless options.

More confident

Trusting your multipassionate abilities, instead of doubting them.

More supported

Connected to people who are building exactly the life you want to lead.

Many paths. One plan.

After you join the Lab, you’ll be able to bring more energy to your interests, more presence to your relationships, and more value to your work.

For many, this will be the foundation to change careers, become entrepreneurs, start new hobbies, invest in family and relationships differently, or just feel more at ease with the person they are.

Mark Little

Author, Journalist, Digital Innovator

"With a book about to launch, and a creative project to follow, Adam helped me unravel a complex web of opportunities and align all parts of my potential future. I am forever in his debt for his generosity, encouragement and discipline.

Preethi Nallu

Nonprofit Executive Director

"Adam's coaching transformed my leadership skills, from formulating deeper strategies to modelling complex financial scenarios. Most importantly he has helped me build agility, care and pragmatism in all facets of my life."

David Bauer

Writer, Founder, Product Head

"Adam is such a great listener who knew exactly where to poke to guide me to more clarity. His coaching has reaffirmed my confidence as a generalist and strengthened my understanding of where I can make a real difference.

What's included?

You’ll be working alongside a small, hand-selected cohort of up to 10 people.

The backbone of the Lab is a regular cadence of homework and group coaching calls over 4-5 weeks, including:

  • One orientation call (30 min, 1:1) to set your goals for the Lab

  • Four 60 min live group calls (recorded: just in case you miss one)

  • 1 deep coaching session (1:1 with me) to pressure-test your plan

  • Four hours of peer-to-peer coaching (optional - I’ll find you an accountability buddy!)

In addition you’ll get:

  • Email access to me throughout, with 1 business day response, guaranteed.

  • Four rounds of homework (1 - 2 hours of commitment per week) with feedback from me

  • Dedicated worksheets, including your Ikigai-9 baseline and GPS planning worksheet

  • Explainer breakdowns of key concepts you’ll use for years to come

  • A private WhatsApp group and community platform access

  • Free access to the full Evenly Distributed archive of frameworks and tools

  • A personalised reading list at the end

Who is this is for?

You probably have:

  • A leadership or founder role at a nonprofit, social enterprise, media org

  • An idea for a small lifestyle or creative business (maybe)

  • Years of hard work behind something you believe in

  • Rejected hustle culture and toxic productivity

  • A side project, a craft, or a creative habit you're not willing to give up

  • Serious family or life commitments that rule out "dropping out"

  • The overwhelming sense that you are doing too much.

  • Guilt for not "excelling" at being a parent, partner, friend, or colleague

  • The feeling that others are always ahead of you

  • Had someone call you a generalist, multipotentialite, multipassionate, multi-hyphenate person at some point

You are not:

  • Trying to escape through quiet quitting or the Bali creator fantasy

  • Looking for one singular professional and personal identity

  • Afraid of several things running in parallel

  • Reluctant to commit to four weeks with real accountability

  • Scared of being vulnerable in front of peers

  • A hustle bro (sorry, my dude, but this ain't for you)

What does it cost?

The Non-Linear Lab starts at €1,500 (excluding VAT) per person.

You can split this into 3x payments over 3 months.

A very limited amount of “parity pricing” discounts are available for people in regions with a lower cost of living relative to Western Europe/US. Just email me directly to ask, but please be aware that these are first-come-first-served and I can’t hold places. Once the cohort spots are filled, they are filled, discount or no. So, please be quick to avoid disappointment.

If you are VAT registered, you can provide your own tax ID. If a reverse charge applies you’ll get a tax rate of 0%. You’ll get an invoice you can use for business expense purposes (coaching is a business expense in most tax jurisdictions).

Frequently asked questions

You've got questions. I've got answers. (Maybe).

Who will be in my cohort?

Each cohort is carefully curated to offer a blend of different people with complimentary roles, backgrounds, aspirations, and skills. I pick people based on their ability to work together, support one another, and building lasting bonds. everyone will be at a similar stage of life and asking similar questions to you.

Will I get access to you personally?

Across the four weeks you'll have direct time with me in three places: the orientation call, the closing 1:1, and email throughout with feedback on every round of homework.

In the group calls, everyone gets one live coaching session in the fishbowl weeks, plus whatever comes up for you in the Week 4 pairs work and group Q&A. It's not the same as ongoing 1:1 coaching but most of what moves people forward in a programme like this comes from the structure, the homework, and watching others get coached, not just their own individual time with me.

What if the call times don't work for my schedule?

Once everyone's signed up, I'll find times that work for the group as a whole. Every group call is recorded, so you won't miss the content if you do miss it. That said, the fishbowl calls in particular (Weeks 2 and 3) work best live. You'll get more out of watching the coaching happen in real time than watching it back. If you know in advance you'll miss one, let me know so we can figure out the best way to keep you on track.

How will homework be sent to me?

Homework goes out after each call, with clear instructions and a deadline for sending it back to me. You'll submit your answers by email, and I read everyone's before the next session (this is how I choose who gets coached live in the Weeks 2 and 3 fishbowl calls, so submitting on time actually matters for how the group experience works, not just your own progress).

Do I actually need to do the homework?

Well… yes. This isn't optional extra credit; each week's homework is the raw material the next session runs on. If you skip a week, you'll be working from less than everyone else when it comes to choosing your model in Week 4, and the group sessions will make less sense without your own material to draw on. Expect 1–2 hours most weeks.

Can I bring specific work/life questions into the group calls?

Yes, particularly in the fishbowl weeks and the Week 4 Q&A - those are built for exactly that. Outside of those moments, save individual questions for email or your 1:1s so the group time stays focused on the week's material.

Will everyone else in the group see my homework?

Only what you choose to share live in a call. I read everyone's homework to prepare for sessions and to choose who gets coached in the fishbowl weeks, but I don't circulate it. If you're picked for live coaching, that conversation happens in front of the group but nothing you write privately gets shared without you choosing to say it out loud.

What if I don't want to be one of the five people coached live in a fishbowl call?

I’d strongly prefer it if you don't opt out of being selected, since the whole design depends on a genuine cross-section of the group being coached each week, not just volunteers. That said, if you have a real reason a particular week is a bad time for you personally, tell me in advance and I'll work around it.

What if I fall behind?

Let me know please! The whole point of ongoing access between calls is so a bad week doesn't derail you. I'd rather hear from you early than have you show up to a session having quietly skipped the homework.

What is an accountability buddy?

Someone else in the cohort, paired with you for the four weeks, who you can check in with, work through exercises alongside, or reach out to if you're stuck. It's optional - if you'd rather not be paired, just say so - but most people get real value from having one other person in their corner between calls, not just me.I recommend meeting for an hour a week, but you can also just DM or email, as you wish.

What if I want to change my accountability buddy or I'm not vibing with them?

Just email me. It happens, and it's a quick fix, not a big deal.

How can I pay?

Payment is handled through my platform Podia, which uses Stripe. I can accept credit card payments, Google Pay, Apple Pay, iDeal, Stripe Link, Paypal, etc.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. You can pay in full, or split it in two instalments over two months (with one upfront payment due immediately)

Do you do discounts?

Yes. I keep a small number of parity-adjusted spots for people who for whatever reason cannot pay the full amount (local cost of living, current financial circumstances). If that's you, just email me directly and I'll let you know what's available. These discounts are limited and first-come-first-served.

What currency is this priced in?

Euros, excluding VAT. If you're paying from outside the eurozone, your bank or payment provider will handle the conversion and Podia will handle taxes.

Can I business expense this?

Yes, I'm VAT-registered and can make out professional invoices to fit any budget line you need.

What if I sign up and it's not for me?

If, after the first group call, you really decide that this isn't for you, I'll give you 100% of your money back.

What happens after the four weeks is up?

Your access to resources, the WhatsApp group, and the community platform continue, and your accountability buddy pairing isn't time-limited by the programme (plenty of people keep talking well past the official four weeks). You and I will check-in after three months to see how things are going.

About your coach

I built this framework and coaching package for myself originally.

I spent years living across the world, building a non-linear life, pursuing multiple interests, without realising it.

I loved a lot of it. I worked in arts and film as a producer, led journalism and technology at Storyful and News Corp, ran a nonprofit at the European Journalism Centre, and spent years fundraising for causes I believed in, raising over $30m and distributing more than $15m in grants along the way.

But when I became a father at 40, after a five-year IVF journey, I needed a way to actually work out what mattered (what I loved, what I was good at, what the world needed, what would keep the lights on) instead of just feeling pulled in six directions at once.

And I realised I’d drifted away from doing things that sustained me - writing, music, filmmaking, and running - in order to serve a professional identity that didn't really fit.

So I built the framework that became this coaching, used it on my own life first, and only later started guiding other people through it.

These days I'm a coach, adviser, writer, YouTuber, ambient musician, trail runner, and father. I’m always working on several things at once, on purpose, and I’ve found a way to keep them in balance. I've since spent 700+ hours coaching people living exactly this kind of life from founders, philanthropists, and nonprofit execs, to published authors, professional musicians and creators.

My AI Policy

Transparency matters to me, so here's exactly where and how I use AI.

Recording and transcription. I do not use AI to record and transcribe our calls (1-to-1 or group), full stop.

Summarising documents, emails, and your homework. AI tools may be used (both passively on my devices (e.g. apple Mail, Gmail, Google Docs) and actively through Claude, made by Anthropic) to help me summarise documents, emails, or written answers you send me. This helps me prepare for calls and give you better feedback, faster.

Your “Notebook”. For each Cohort member, I keep a “notebook” so that your goals, responses, homework, feedback, and questions are all in one place and I can quickly organise and refer back to previous ideas and discussions.

Before I share anything you have shared with me, I strip out personally identifying details (e.g. your name, employer, and anything else that would point back to you). I refer to you by a placeholder (for example, "Cohort Member 1")

Data retention. Your “notebook” will be deleted after the Lab has finished.

A custom framework model, and drafting coaching responses. I've built an AI model in Claude trained on my own coaching methodologies, reading notes, and past writing and thinking. I use it to help generate reading recommendations, frameworks, homework, exercises, cohort materials, and sometimes a first draft of a response to something you've sent me. I always review, edit, and personalise anything before it reaches you. It's a drafting aid, not a replacement for my judgement, and the coaching decisions are always mine.

Privacy with Claude. My account is set to Anthropic's strictest available privacy option, so nothing I send is used to train their models.

What stays with me. No AI system makes decisions about your programme or your progress, and nothing goes to you without me reading and editing it first. The calls, the 1:1 session, and the judgement behind any feedback are mine.

If you have questions about any of this, just ask: adam@evenlydistributed.co
